Robseal pioneered the very first liquid coatings system in the UK.

Then it was know as the Robseal Three Coat System, a liquid applied bituminous compound containing fire retardants and aggregates for longevity, this was reinforced with a layer of glass fibre membrane before a third and final coat of bitumen was applied. This type of construction is still relevant today in many roofing systems.

Modern liquid coatings are usually referred to as liquid plastic, of which there are a number to choose from depending on the application and the deck/substructure to which it is being applied. Most are high performance polyurethane coatings which form a completely seamless, vapour permeable membrane across the roof surface which allows any moisture build-up underneath to escape through the surface rather than produce a ‘bubble’. The final skin can stretch and flex to absorb any natural building movement, and the final job can carry an insurance backed guarantee.

We do not believe there will be any respected roofing contractor, providing a domestic roofing service, which will have more experience in the application of Liquid Coatings or Liquid Plastics than Robseal.

In addition to Liquid Coating we offer a number of other technologies:
